Join Our Team: Impactful Youth Mentor

We’re hiring Youth Mentors to support youth ages 5–21 who are facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You’ll build trusting relationships, be a positive role model, and help young people set goals and learn life skills. Pay ranges from $25.00–$34.00/hr, based on your education and experience. We welcome candidates with youth experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for healing and community wellness.

Note: Final job title and specific duties will depend on program needs, required credentials, supervisor approval, and current service authorization. If hiring for a credentialed CFTSS role (such as Youth Peer Advocate), applicable NYS credential requirements will apply.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with youth, especially at-risk or underserved populations
  • Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass background check and required clearances
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
  • Experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or social services
  • Bilingual skills (a plus)
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
